charming hotel in quiet location

original character immaculate room

the hotel has real character. the building dates from 1874. it retains much of the original character. the room was very spacious and looked super fresh. it benefited from nice touches, such as a sun hat.

i found that the bathroom lighting wasn't great. it was hard to put make up on because i had to hold the magnifying hand mirror.

The staff made us very welcome right from our arrival. they provided a list of recommended restaurants. they booked two of them for us along with taxis. Those restaurants were first class.

the hotel location is excellent. it is set back from the city center in a quiet street. it remains within easy walking distance of the key attractions, though it still maintains a peaceful atmosphere.

The staff was cute. I received a helpful overview of the local area upon arrival. I also got a list of recommended restaurants. A lovely breakfast was provided each morning with ideal portions (I especially enjoyed the fresh pastries).

The limited number of TV channels available in English was a small inconvenience.

impractical sink faucet insufficient storage

I encountered issues with the room's design. the sink faucet was too small for the sink. It was very impractical. also, the drawers in the cupboard were too low, and there were only a few (i found this insufficient for storage). the bathroom lighting wasn't sufficient for applying makeup. I had to use the magnifying mirror.
